HOW TO PREPARE AND SUBMIT A PROJECT

Projects, as a tool, enable the achievement of development goals and, with a clearly defined strategic development direction, enrich the quality of life, create more competitive economy, and fairer society. Vukovar-Srijem County will, among other sources of financing, significantly rely on the use of EU funds in the financial perspective 2021-2027. Vukovar-Srijem County Development Agency, in the realisation of projects, plays its role by providing advisory and professional assistance in the preparation and implementation of development projects of local, regional, and national importance.

HOW TO PREPARE AND SUBMIT A PROJECT

In order to successfully prepare and submit a project, we present five basic steps that must be followed:

1. 1. Define the need/problem to be solved -> Create a project idea
   2. Monitor and identify opportunities (adequate funding sources through calls/tenders) for funding the project idea
   3. Check the compatibility of the project idea with the call/tender
   4. Upon finding an adequate call/tender for financing a project idea, it needs to be improved/adjusted with the terms of the call/tender -> develop appropriate intervention logic (elaborate idea, results, activities, outputs, indicators, projects budget, etc.)
   5. In accordance with the instructions for applicants to the selected call/tender -> collect all the necessary supporting documentation, submit the project in the prescribed manner and within the given deadlines

The Agency regularly monitors and informs about open calls/tenders financed from various sources – you can find information about tenders here.

There are various information sources regarding numerous calls/tenders; below are some of the main sources of information/funding:

• • The European Structural and Investment Funds
  • Recovery and Resilience Facility – RRF
  • National sources – relevant ministries, central state offices and offices of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund, Fond za zaštitu okoliša i energetsku učinkovitost
  • European Commission funds (EU programmes), Creative Europe (HR), for Mobility and EU Programmes (HR)
  • The EEA Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism
  • Swiss-Croatian Cooperation Programme

HOW THE VUKOVAR-SRIJEM COUNTY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY CAN HELP YOU WITH PROJECTS

In accordance with Art. 25 of the Act on Regional Development of the Republic of Croatia, the Vukovar-Srijem County Development Agency, as a regional coordinator, provides expert assistance in the preparation and implementation of development projects of public law bodies and public institutions from county’s area , which are founded by the Republic of Croatia or local and regional self-government unit, which are of interest for the development of the county, as well as joint projects of interest for the development of several counties.

Vukovar-Srijem County Development Agency has adopted the Regulation on providing professional assistance in the preparation and implementation of development projects of public law bodies and public institutions from the Vukovar-Srijem County, which lists all the conditions, rules, scoring criteria, eligible applicants, etc. After the potential applicant has studied the rules, and after consultation with the representatives of VSC DA, the applicant fills in and sends a request for professional assistance.
